You came back like you said you would. There wasn’t a day that passes by without you being always on my mind. How I had longed to see you again. Though the regular mail are all sweet and nice, but this could not be compared to seeing you again in person.

The day that you returned, I had thought that you were just an illusion of my mind longing for you. That day, the weather was perfect, just like the day when you told me that you love me. I wasn’t sure that it was you until you gave me that long passionate kiss that I had longed for. It had brought me straight back to earth to look right into those hazel eyes that I missed so much. You look older, but still the same handsome person that I had fallen in love with. You were successful in your ventures and was back only briefly.

When I heard that, I was sadden that you were going to leave me again. What you said next that you were back to take me along with you, I was overwhelmed with joy. A simple silver marriage band with a diamond adorn on it. It made me breathless as I watched, stunned and speechless, not knowing what to say but to nod my head in agreement. Tears welled in my eyes as I look at the ring that you had slipped onto my marriage finger. 

You made me happy simply thinking about how you had kept your promise. It had meant a lot to me that you returned, and this surprise had made it the second happiest day of my life. The sky started to drizzle upon us, and you took out an umbrella to shelter us both as we sat on the ground in our secret place enjoying one another’s presence. For years to come.
